IAAF.org: Grigoryeva adds LA crown to Paris title

Russia’s Lidiya Grigoryeva, 32, smashed her personal best and broke the course record in yesterday’s Los Angeles Marathon (19) in a time of 2:25:10 to add to the Paris City Marathon title which she won last year.
In the French capital in 2005, Grigoryeva who had finished in the top-10 in the last two Olympic Games, won in 2:27:01 (10 April 2005), what was her previous personal best until yesterday’s race in California.
Kenyans took a sweep in the men’s race, and provided seven of the top-10 finishers. Leading them home was Benson Cherono in a course record of 2:08:40. It was also a huge personal best for the 21-year-old Kenyan.
