2005-11-22
Teenager Fabiano Joseph again showed his outstanding future potential when winning the MTN Lagos half marathon by a huge margin on Saturday.
Joseph seven weeks after his last gasp lunge for the finishing line clinched him the IAAF world half marathon title in Edmonton, set a new course record of 1:02:20 hours.
John Korir competing seriously for the first time in six months following a hamstring injury, claimed second place in 1:03:05.
The 25-year-old Kenyan prevented a Tanzanian one-two, splitting 19-year-old Joseph from his training partner John Yuda who finished in 1:04:21.
