WORLD RECORD HALF MARATHON IN ROTTERDAM
During the second edition of the Fortis Half Marathon Rotterdam the Kenian Talent Samuel Wanjiru, only 18 years old, ran a fabulous race.

After 3 World Record at the Marathon (in 1985, 1988 and 1998), Rotterdam now has got a World Record at the Half Marathon on September 11th.
During the second edition of the Fortis Half Marathon Rotterdam the Kenian Talent Samuel Wanjiru, only 18 years old, ran a fabulous race. He broke the World Record of Paul Tergat - KEN - (1998) with 1 second. He finished in 00.59.16 (WR), 29 seconds before Patrick Ivuti, who also ran within the hour (00.59.47).
Rotterdam, running capital of Holland, proved again that it’s course is very fast. Last year, Robert K. Cheruiyot ran a season’s best (world) time in Rotterdam (1.00.11).
