Sabrina Mockenhaupt will face Claudia Dreher at the AVON RUNNING Berlin race on saturday
Up to 12,000 women runners are expected

In addition to Sabrina Mockenhaupt, there will be a second top German runner at AVON RUNNING Berlin Women’s Race on May 21 in the 10 k race. Claudia Dreher (Gänsefurth Sport Movement) will face the runner from LG Sieg at the 10 k race in the Tiergarten park.
Already qualified for the World Championships
Both runners have already qualified for the World Championships in August in Helsinki. Mockenhaupt will compete in the 10,000 m race and Dreher in the marathon. Although this will be Sabrina Mockenhaupt’s first time participating in a Berlin road race, this will be Claudia Dreher’s third time competing in the AVON RUNNING Berlin Women’s Run, where she placed second last year.
As many as 12,000 runners expected
At the by far largest women’s race in Germany, which will begin at 3:15 p.m. on May 21st on the boulevard Straße des 17. Juni, the organiser, SCC-RUNNING, expects a record number of up to 12,000 participants. Last year 11,142 women and girls competed.
Next Thursday and Friday, runners, walkers, and Nordic walkers can still register for the 5 and 10k races at Karstadt Sport in Joachimstaler Strasse.
