2005-01-27
The running season has long begun for SCC-RUNNING, with the New Year’s Day Run on January 1, 2005 and the 27th Berlin Team Marathon on January 22, 2005, but the great running classic SCC-RUNNING events, starting with this year’s anniversary 25th Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON on April 3, still lie ahead. As is tradition, and still in time to ring in the running year 2005, the “Laufheft“ Running Brochure 2005 has been published for the Berlin running and sporting community with all of the dates and invitations for running, skating, and walking for the 2005 sport season.
With the running brochure, SCC-RUNNING hopes to encourage even more of the population to start jogging, skating, walking and Nordic walking.
"In addition to the classic events like the Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON in the spring and the real,- BERLIN-MARATHON in the fall, we hope to motivate whole families and companies to join in in our selection of shorting distances and relays, thus reaching an even larger segment of the population, including the youth," said Mark Milde, Race Director from SCC-RUNNING.
Sent out to 32,000 regular participants by mail
The brochure has been published with a circulation of 50,000. The greatly “in demand” running brochure, with a total volume of 8.3 tons, which will be sent by direct mail to over 32,000 regular participants, is certain to make running and endurance sport even more popular in Berlin and Brandenburg.
The 129,367 athletes who participated in the races organised by SCC-RUNNING in 2004 are to be topped this year.
96 pages of compact information
The brochure contains 96 pages of compact information with the official invitations to the SCC RUNNING events, many opportunities to train, tips and advice, the RBB Running Movement, as well as important topics from the sport forum and sport medicine.
Reference work, full of treats
The brochure includes statements on running by prominent figures, answering why they are active and run themselves. The statistics, sketches of the courses, interesting running photos, and advertisements with the dates of additional races make the "Laufheft 2005" one of the most important reference works, a ”runner’s bible“ full of treats for the Berlin running and skating community.
The dates of the German Road Races (GRR), too
All of the dates of the German Road Races (GRR) are also included, as are the races for youth, school kids, and bambinis, in cooperation with the Senate administration for School Sport and Physical Education.
