„Distance Running“ and the AIMS-Races around the World
AIMS represents 172 races from 62 countries from all around the world

AIMS (Association of International Marathon and Road Races) and the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) publish the races organised by its members three times a year in the publication “Distance Running”. The race events until August 2005 are listed in the most recent release for May/August 2004 (with a circulation of 400,000).AIMS represents 172 races from 62 countries from all around the world.
Throughout the 82 pages, the greatest races in the world advertise for their events. As always, the real,- BERLIN MARATHON and the Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON are listed with a whole page advertisement.
For the marathon freak, the multi-coloured ads may make their mouth water
for the newest running adventure.
The newest edition appears with the Madrid Marathon on its cover. The last
edition had given the honours to the real,- BERLIN MARATHON.
The results of the races around the world are decorated with current photos. The Cross Country World Championships in Brussels in 2004 are depicted, as well as fully unknown races like the Mumbai Marathon in India and the crazy Sahara Marathon. The world famous races from Lisbon, Paris, Madrid and Boston are described, as is the ultra scene.
The current list of best times for the 10 km, half marathon and marathon
also are included, as well as the addresses and contact persons for each race
in the various countries. A limited number of the Distance Running magazine is
distributed freely at the AIMS events, or it can be purchased as a
