The Premiere:
May 2, 2004 - RBB-Run 2004 (1st Berlin One Third Marathon – 14 km ) Start and finish on the Glienicker Bridge – a run through Potsdam and past numerous sightseeing points in the city. Expected participation: 3,000 – 5,000

Trying to catch up with its “big brother“:
April 4, 2004 – 24th Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON The fast 21.0975 km sightseeing race through the Berlin city. Planned changes: Start and finish at the Schloßbrücke (Palace Bridge) with the Lustgarten decorating the finish area. BERLIN VITAL (Spring) April 2-4, 2004 – Messe Berlin Fairgrounds Expected participation: 19,000 – 20,000 (2003: 17,692 from 63 countries)

Germanys largest womens race hopes to keep on growing:
May 22, 2004 - AVON RUNNING 21st Berlin Womens Run in the Tiergarten Park Germanys largest womens fitness event has become a festival of running in an attractive environment. This race in the Tiergarten Park with the Siegessäule (Victory Column), Bellevue Palace, and within sight of the German Chancellery, Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate, will be the weekend destination for women from all around Germany. Expected participation: 11,500 (2003: 10,528 from 44 countries)

The TEAM Relay – the group experience for finance, politics, and science—a chance for the whole board of trustees to run together.
June 16-17, 2004 – 5th Berlin 5 x 5 km TEAM Relay in the Tiergarten Park - The fastest growing running event–now over two days. Expected participation: 2,000 TEAMS with 10,000 participants (2003: 1,415 TEAMS with 7,075 athletes).

The fast 10 km night race along the shopping strip
July 31, 2004 – 13th Bewag City Night on the Kurfürstendamm Boulevard - The fast family festival for inline skaters and runners on the new course on Kurfürstendamm and Kantstraße – with the obligatory post-run celebration along Kurfürstendamm Boulevard. Expected participation: 8,000 ( 2003: 7,094 participants) The running event of the year September 25-26, 2004 – 31st real,- BERLIN MARATHON
The race of the year for inline skaters and runners on the “postcard and world record course“. Participants—skaters: 10,000 Participants—runners: 35,000
