The “Cult Run“ on Sunday will only be 15 kilometres to the corner of Havelchaussee, as an “oxygen recreation run“ in a moderate pace in various groups. Of course, the 29-time marathon participant, Bernd Hübner, together with John Kunkeler, will be setting the tempo at this cult run.
In 1974, Bernd Hübner, a rower at BRC, came in 72nd with a time of 3:38:06. He has participated in every BERLIN MARATHON since then, and with his 29 times, he is the singular record holder of the BERLIN MARATHON Jubilee Club; Christl Heine leads the women with 22 races. The Jubilee Club currently has 1,149 members from 14 countries. 55 new aspiring members will be at this years MARATHON start, who have thus far successfully finished 9 races.
After the “oxygen recreation run“, there will be a comfortable gathering in mental preparation of September 28 with coffee and home-backed cakes in front of Mommsen Stadium. Everyone may join us, no registration is necessary.
